Private field notes for rough outcomes

Turn rough outcomes into better next times.

Turnback helps people log the moments that went sideways — wrong turns, bad calls, underprepared outings, forgotten gear, and no-result sessions — and turn them into reusable lessons.

What Turnback is for

Turnback is built for people who want to remember what went wrong without turning every rough day into shame. It focuses on patterns, preparation, and reusable rules.

Log rough outcomes

Capture what happened, why it went off track, and what rule should carry forward next time.

Spot patterns

See which activities, triggers, and decisions show up most often in your archive.

Prepare better

Use reminders, checklists, and your own lesson cards before the next outing or activity.

Privacy and data handling

Turnback is designed to keep core user entries on-device. At the current stage, app content such as notes, checklist state, reminder times, and locally selected image references are not uploaded to our cloud services. If advertising is added in future versions, the app’s privacy policy and Play Console disclosures will be updated accordingly.

Current app behavior

  • User-created entries are stored locally on the device in the current implementation.
  • Reminder schedules are stored locally on the device.
  • Selected images are referenced locally by URI in the current implementation.
  • No account system is required in the current implementation.

Advertising notice

Turnback is intended to become an IAA-supported product. If ad SDKs are introduced, the app may display ads and may need to disclose the use of advertising-related identifiers or SDK data processing in accordance with Google Play policies.

  • The Play Console “Contains ads” declaration should be updated when ads are actually included.
  • The privacy policy should be updated before any advertising SDK goes live in production.
